Last Tuesday 16 September in Milan, EucA had the privilege of organising a high-level visit of delegation of Members of the European Parliament from the Special Committee on Housing (HOUS) led by Irene Tinagli, to the Collegio di Merito Camplus College Turro.
Thanks to the initiative, the visit offered MEPs a unique opportunity to step into the daily life of collegiate students, and to discover the strengths of the Italian University College model – a shining example of public-private partnership in higher education and student housing. Chiara, a student from Fondazione RUI, talked about her story, her opportunities and challenges during the life in the College.
The Italian approach will be hopefully considered as a best practice in the final report of the HOUS Committee. A recognition that confirms EucA’s role in bringing the voice of university colleges and Student Affairs to the European stage.
The delegation’s program also included a meeting at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore with the Rectors of Milan’s leading universities where the President Carla Bisleri introduced the Collegi di Merito experience.
At EucA, we turn expertise into impact: supporting institutions in shaping the European policy agenda through strategic advocacy and high-level dialogue. Thanks to the HOUS Committee and the MEPs and advisors that attended the event.
