A collaboration grounded on EU principles

Active citizenship lies at the heart of EucA’s mission, reflected in its wide range of initiatives designed to foster civic responsibility among students across Europe.

One of the key highlights in the lead-up to the elections has been the EucA-led, EU-funded project Gen Z Votes, supported by the CERV programme. The initiative brought together hundreds of university students from 15 EU countries through events held in Portugal, Italy, and Greece, all united by a common goal: to motivate young people to take part in the European elections.

By creating innovative, engaging, and relatable video content, participants encouraged their peers across Europe to become active citizens and make their voices heard.

Building on this momentum, EucA leveraged the project as a launchpad to support the European Parliament’s efforts to strengthen electoral participation. Through the promotion of student-led content, both online and on the ground, EucA reached a wide audience of motivated young people ready to exercise their rights.
