From 26 to 28 November 2025, University students from across Europe participated in EucA’s latest Public Health Study Visit in Geneva. Throughout the three-day experience, the participants gained direct insights into some of the world’s leading institutions in healthcare, medical innovation, and global health governance.
The adventure started with an impactful visit to the Geneva University Hospital (Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève – HUG), one of Switzerland’s largest and most advanced medical centers. Once there, the adventurers had the chance to step into the Swiss Foundation for Innovation and Training in Surgery (SFITS), where they explored state-of-the-art surgical training technologies used by medical professionals from all around the world.
Another key stop on the itinerary was the Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), a global non-profit organization dedicated to discovering, developing, and delivering effective antimalarial treatments. Students had the opportunity to meet experts, understand the organization’s research strategy, and learn how international partnerships contribute to tackling major public health challenges.
Beyond institutional visits, the Study Visit integrated reflections, group discussions, and cultural experiences around Geneva’s historic landscape. Students left inspired, informed, and more aware of their role in addressing global health challenges.
