“I take home a new way to see the world, and the courage to change it.” A.R., Italy
From 20 to 26 July 2025, a group of ambitious students from the Conferenza Collegi Universitari di Merito (CCUM) took part in the inaugural EucA Leadership Summer School in New York City, co-organised with the CUNY. Set in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, the programme offered a transformative leadership experience aimed at preparing young people to lead with confidence, purpose, and a global perspective.
Over the course of the week, participants delved into key themes such as leadership development, emotional intelligence, and the role of youth in addressing today’s global challenges. The agenda combined academic depth with practical training, featuring interactive workshops delivered by leadership experts.
Engaging workshops led by experts from CUNY’s Malave Leadership Academy and EucA provided practical tools for self-awareness, team building, and ethical decision-making.
A major highlight of the programme was a series of visits to iconic institutions, including the United Nations Headquarters, New York University, and Pace University. These visits provided unique opportunities to engage in conversations about international diplomacy, higher education innovation, and civic responsibility.
Interactive sessions on personal branding, storytelling, and managing change empowered participants to reflect on their own leadership journeys and how to communicate their impact in a fast-evolving professional landscape.
But perhaps the most meaningful insights came not from the speakers or the venues; but from the participants themselves, who brought unique perspectives, lived experiences, and the drive to lead with authenticity and purpose.
Thanks to the young leaders, who brought their energy and passion to every moment of the experience, the program proved that leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about mindset, vision, and the courage to act.
EucA extends its thanks to CUNY, for designing and delivering insightful, hands-on workshops that inspired reflection, growth, and real-world application.
