What's the plan

The main goal of the Summer School is to help you develop your leadership skills, enhancing your ability to positively influence, manage change, and address the complex challenges of both academic and professional life.


With its interdisciplinary approach, the program brings together elements of international relations, psychology, and personal development, giving you a comprehensive and versatile perspective on leadership.

You will integrate the Principles of Sustainable Leadership and apply the principles of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their leadership practices, developing innovative solutions to address global and local challenges sustainably and effectively.

You will identify global and local challenges using learned tools and strategies to navigate and manage the complexities of change in several contexts, with an in-depth understanding of global dynamics and their influence.

You will strengthen personal and professional growth by demonstrating greater resilience, adaptability, and ability to positively influence others through improved personal awareness and leadership skills, thereby preparing for both academic and professional leadership role.

Thanks to 25 hours of certified training you will take part in:


  • An online onboarding experience (pre-event).

  • EucA activities: training & workshops from the City University of New York and EucA

  • NYC Cultural City pass for attractions like the Empire State Building, 11/9 Memorial, National History Museum, and more

  • Universities and Campus visits

Experiential Learning.png

Experiential Learning: Immerse yourself in practical experiences inside the EU through interactive discussions, workshops, performances, and more. Inspire and get inspired, debate directly with Members of the European Parliament and other European decision-makers, and exchange views with experts, activists, and content creators

Skill development.png

Skills development: Participate in collaborative group activities and get out of your comfort zone. Improve skills such as problem-solving, industry networking, and communicating in multicultural settings.

  • International Flight from/to NYC

  • Transfer from the airport to the accommodation

  • Electronic System for Travel Authorization -ESTA- to enter the USA (EucA will support you during the process)

  • The rest of the meals

TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION:

All participants are covered by a comprehensive travel insurance with AIG Europe SA, which includes:


  • Medical assistance for illnesses or accidents.

  • Personal liability protection.

  • The policy number is: 9.502.176 

  • Policy Holder: EucA - EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE ASSOCIATION


You will find your insurance certificate in your personal EucA folder. The certificate confirms that the mentioned Insured Person is covered under the Terms and Conditions of the Insurance Policy while travelling.
