EU Project "El voluntariado en la construcciòn ciudadana de Europa"

EUCA organizes an international seminar about volunteering on 7 October 2011, at the European Commission Representation Office in Madrid.

The event is part of a European project, entitled "El voluntariado en la construcciòn ciudadana de Europa", that aims to bring together and strengthen the concept of volunteering and creativity as a tool and source of European citizenship. It is financed by Youth in Action European programme 5.1.

Tasks for the selected students
Before the celebration of the transnational meeting in Madrid, each national team should draft a document which will reflect specific proposals to promote citizen participation in volunteering activities. The proposals will be submitted before the seminar to the MEPs and experts who will take part in the seminar. These documents and proposals will be the starting point for the round tables between MP’s and the students.

After the seminar
Students who participated in it should implement direct actions and activities to promote responsible citizenship in their respective Colleges. Once completed the implementation of these activities, students should make a brief report, whether a written document, video, pictures, etc. All the written and visual reports will be included in the official DVD, which will be sent to all the partners and Colleges at the end of the project.
