E-QUA on the Journal of International Mobility
EucA is proud to announce that an article on the E-QUA project has been published on the Journal of International Mobility, published by the Presses Universitaires de France.
The title of the article is International Quality Mobility: Validation of the Intercultural Experience in Terms of Soft Skills and Enhanced Employability, authored by Maria Antonietta Confalonieri, Caterina Avezzù, Simona Miano and Veronica Veronese.
The article is a study on how to enhance the quality of the Erasmus experience in the following key areas:
1) academic quality of the period studying abroad in terms of credits acquired and recognised, grades, and learning associated with formal learning activities;
2) acquisition of linguistic skills;
3) acquisition of relevant skills in terms of employability;
4) quality and density of intercultural encounters, as opportunities to “Europeanise” mobile students’ identities and life-projects.
The work developed in the E-QUA project is intended to contribute to develop tools to assess and promote the quality of Erasmus according to the four aforementioned criteria. A particular attention was given to aspects of mobility related to the impact of study abroad on intercultural skills and employability. The main outcomes of the project were: the Quality Hosting Framework and the Patent of Quality Hosting Mobility.
